Derry Girls, a ridiculously funny sitcom that you should definitely watch today.

Created and written by Lisa McGee, the show describes the lives of a group of friends from an all-girl Catholic high school in the 90s, starring Saoirse-Monica Jackson who plays Eric Quinn, an idealistic teenager with her friends; Michelle (Jamie-Lee O’Donnell); Clare (Nicole Coughlan who plays X in Bridgerton); Orla (Louisa Harland); and an English lad, James (Dyan Llewellyn) who was sent to study with the girls as his family was afraid that he would be bullied in the Catholic boys school.

Each episode usually ends with heartfelt scenes that represent the strong bond these girls, and boy have for each other. Plus, you’ll learn a new Northern Irish slang from the show!

This is a show that portrays friendship and family in the funniest, real-est way that almost all of us can relate to. Personally, Derry Girls has brought back some high school memories. Ahh, the good old days…
